Courtside ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Do Not Collect

Courtside does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:

• We do not require account creation or sign-up
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs
• We do not use analytics services that track individual users
• We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data

Data Stored on Your Device

Courtside stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Followed teams: Your selected favorite teams, stored in local app storage
• Preferences: Display settings and notification preferences
• Custom stat tracking: Any custom player prop tracking configurations you create

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.

NBA Data APIs

Courtside retrieves NBA game data, scores, statistics, and related information from third-party APIs (Balldontlie and Tank01). These API requests are made directly from the app to the data providers and do not include any personally identifiable information about you.

Apple App Store & Payments

Courtside uses Apple's StoreKit framework for in-app purchases. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). Apple may collect information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Push Notifications

Courtside may request permission to send push notifications for game alerts, score updates, and injury reports. This is entirely optional. If you grant permission, Apple's Push Notification service (APNs) is used. We do not store or track your device token on any external server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.

Third-Party Services

Courtside does not integrate with any third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, social media trackers, or data brokers. The only external services used are the NBA data APIs required to provide the app's core functionality.

Children's Privacy

Courtside does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we do not collect personal information from any user, this applies universally.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
