These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Courtside mobile application ("the app"). By downloading or using Courtside, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Courtside is an iOS application that provides NBA game scores, statistics, play-by-play data, standings, and related basketball information. The app is designed for informational and entertainment purposes.

2. Free Trial & Purchase

Courtside offers a free 3-day trial with full access to all features. After the trial period, continued use requires a one-time purchase of $9.99 (USD) through the Apple App Store. This is not a subscription — there are no recurring charges.

• The trial begins when you first install and open the app
• No payment information is required to start the trial
• After purchase, you receive lifetime access to the app and all future updates
• The purchase price may vary by region based on Apple's pricing tiers

3. Refund Policy

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.

4. Service Availability

Courtside relies on third-party NBA data APIs to provide its core functionality. While we strive for continuous availability:

• Service may be temporarily unavailable during API provider maintenance or outages
• Data accuracy depends on our data providers (Balldontlie and Tank01 APIs)
• Real-time data availability may be affected during periods of high demand
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party API providers, but we will work to restore service as quickly as possible.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Courtside for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app to scrape, harvest, or redistribute NBA data
• Attempt to circumvent the app's purchase or trial mechanisms
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws
• Resell or redistribute the app or its data

6. Intellectual Property

The Courtside app, its design, code, and original content are the property of Courtside and are protected by copyright law. NBA names, logos, team names, and related trademarks are the property of the National Basketball Association and its teams. Courtside is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Courtside is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The app will meet your specific requirements
• The app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The data and statistics provided will be 100% accurate at all times
• Any errors in the app will be corrected

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Courtside and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the app.

9. No Gambling or Financial Advice

Courtside provides NBA statistics and data for informational purposes only. The app does not provide gambling odds, betting advice, or financial recommendations. Any decisions made based on data from the app are solely your responsibility.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
